evaluating theme for new web site
this looks amazing and is simple :)
Want a sticky menu
using Sticky Menu (or Anything!)
the sticky element is #site-navigation
all looks good on desk top but on phone menu only works if you haven'y scrolled down
is this the way to do it or should I be using exhibit theme ?
also noticed that text colour does not seem to change the text colour ? I have not brought the addons yet
Great theme
thanks in advance
Note just found out menu does not work on desktop either if window is narrow enough to show icon instead of full menu and you have scrolled down
I have now brought addons
text colour now fine
Hi Ian,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
That sounds like it may be an issue with the plugin itself. You can try making the navigation sticky without the plugin with these instructions: http://generatepress.com/forums/topic/keep-menus-visable-with-scroll/#post-54453
Hope this helps :)
thanks for response
I couldn't get to work as described by you above
But I did get it to work using your child theme exhibit which I found in the wordpress suppository
Haven't checked differences It could just be me not messed about with child themes before
Might be useful to someone else as that is all exhibit seems to do ?!
You really have created a great theme
IT's too easy to use
That's odd - but glad you got it working with the Exhibit theme :)
Hi Tom,
I also changed to your Exhibit theme because of the sticky menu.
Everything works fine except one thing...
If I combine a page with an image in the content page header (your add-on) together with a text overlying the image (similar to your page, with buttons) the navigation does not being sticky anymore.
Can you please help?
Many thanks
Fabian
Can you link me to a page where this is happening so I can take a look at the code?
additionally, the mobile fitting with this image is still not working :(
Only works without the text on the image...
Ah, you found a bug :) I have this fixed in the next version.
To fix this for now, you can de-select the "full screen" option in the page header options.
Hi Tom,
cool, is working. :)
But the image is still larger than the mobile screen if I reduce the browser size.
Seems you put the site behind a username and password?
You can send me login info to support@generatepress.com if you'd like.
Let me know :)
Hi Tom,
yes, it's under heavy construction ;)
But I opened it up. You should now able to access the site.
Seems that you just have to keep adjusting the mobile image until it's the correct size/aspect ratio for mobile screens :)
