Static homepage - redirect errors?

Hi team - I'm trying to create a static homepage, but it looks to be redirecting too many times and eventually times out.
I created two pages:
- /homepage - want as the static homepage
- /articles - chosen as post feed

Is there a step I'm missing?
Hi there,
The theme itself doesn't handle this at all - the Readings setting screen is all handled by WordPress.
I would assume you get the exact same issue with a twenty series default theme?
The theme doesn't have any redirection set up either.
I would recommend checking with your hosting support to see if they can identify the issue.
