Fernando Customer Support
Not really sure why it would say that when it’s not updated. Perhaps you could ask your hosting provider regarding this? With regards to safely updating, here’s an article which may assist you: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/ultimate-guide-to-upgrade-wordpress-for-beginners-infograph/#:~:text=First%2C%20log%20in%20to%20the,button%20to%20initiate%20the%20update.
Hope this helps!

Hi Fernando, ill check with my host. In tour experience do you think that in this case of not been able to see that wp needs an update on my dashboard can be related to a need for a new instalation? I have no idea if I making any sense with what I am saying here, but I just thought about asking. I’ll check the arti le. Thank you!! Edi

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
It’s odd that your dashboard would state your WP version is up to date when it is not. This would mean that your install is not communicating with WP servers to version check. I would recommend you talk to your hosting provider as you really don’t want to have to be doing manual updates all the time.

That’s totally up to you. Personally, I prefer to go with the manual update route.

Hi guys, thank you for all your support and suggestions. My host helped update to wp newest version. I am just having an issue now. I have the strter site called SHOP. I have no idea how to update the info on the footer: social icon, privacy policy, terms of service, address and so on. I am going to customizer- widgets or footer but I don’t see to able to make changes there. This is the same problem I was running into before updating my WP. What am I doing wrong? Should I even ask this type of question here?
As always, thank you!!
