[Resolved] Starter Page

Hi,

I’m just building a third site using GP premium. This is a basic question but what is the original page you start to build from? For instance if I go to ‘pages’ from my dashboard it currently has none.

I would like this site to have a magazine like feel and plan to experiment within ‘Elementor’. Do I need to create a new page if I want my landing page to be built with Elementor tools?

Hi Pete,

You would need to create a new page and activate Elementor on there.

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

I think what you want is to choose a static page, then select your specific front page and posts page.

So is it possible to use GP’s ‘sections’ on the landing post page without creating another page?

Sections can only be used on static pages, so if your landing page is a static page you can use it.

If it’s the posts page (blog), then it can’t be used.
