[Support request] Speed issues

Our website – https://chiropractorgreenville.com/ recently experienced a major slowdown into the 50’s on Google page speed test (we were in the 70’s for mobile and 80’s for desktop). After testing plugins by disabling and activating and running speed tests I determined it is the GP Premium plugin that is causing the slow down. Is there an update in the works? Or something else we can do? We already use a w3 total cache. We picked the Generate Press theme primarily for the speed.

It looks like W3 Total Cache is taking about 3 seconds to serve your website. I would suggest clearing the cache using that plugin, then disable it.

I’m also seeing a lot of calls to cast_sender.js, which is typically from loading YouTube videos (your site needs to contact YouTube and receive data for each video).

Instead of using a plugin like W3 Total Cache, I would try out some of the methods highlighted here: https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme
