I have no idea what the horizontal bar is called that shows page posts and the search option, but the default behavior appears to display all (most recent?) page posts.

    How do I specify pages?

My specific challenge is I have pages that are referenced by posts or pages that are data dumps that should not be on the home page at all. I put them on a page to be referenced out of courtesy to readers that may not want to read/load the information. They are just too dang big to include in a post or page. An alternative is to use an external service to like pastie, but that is not ideal.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

You’ll want to go to “Appearance > Menus”.

In there, you can create a new menu, and add your pages/categories/custom links etc.. to it.

Once created, you’ll see a “Theme Location” option – set that to “Primary Menu”.

Now your navigation bar should display your desired items.

    Let me know 🙂
