I have my homepage set up with a slider which extends from left to right of the screen and sits directly under the Nav Bar with no white space. However this means that subsequent pages I create the page Title also sits right up against the bottom of the Nav Bar which I didn’t want.
Is there a way I can change this to reflect what I have mentioned in this topic title?
Many Thanks for any help you can provide.GeneratePress 2.0.2March 22, 2018 at 9:17 am #526505LeoStaffCustomer Support
The best method would be to use the page header add-on to insert the slider:
The slider shortcode can be inserted in page header content:
Page header is a page specific feature so won’t effect the spacing of other pages.
Let me know if this helps.April 3, 2018 at 4:34 am #539571Dan
Many thanks for your swift reply and help with regards this.
I have created a new page header as suggested with the idea of putting the homepage slider into this page header.
I have selected the content tab and pasted the slider short code [smartslider3 slider=3] and hit the posted button. However from here I am not sure how to apply this to my homepage only.
Also not sure how this will stop the padding being created above the slider when I up the separating space required for the other pages if I can get the above to work?
Just to recap, I am aiming to achieve the homepage having a slider directly under the navbar, but subsequent pages having some space under the navbar so that page titles are not sitting immediately underneath the navbar.
What you have suggested with the page header options I’m sure will work but not sure how to implement this.
Any further help with this would be much appreciated.

You can select the page header created in the Layout Metabox of the home page so it’s only applied to the home page: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/
Let me know once you do that and we can see if there is still a problem 🙂April 7, 2018 at 10:19 am #543893Dan

Just to let you know the problem still exists. The homepage slider is just how I want it straight under the navbar and that’s within a page header but the other pages I have no page headers for and they are also sitting directly under the navbar which is not how I wanted it as the page titles almost touch the navbar. Any help.

Hmm that is controlled by the content padding: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-padding/
Make sure they aren’t set to 0.April 12, 2018 at 11:49 am #548678Dan
Yes that was it, that’s great. Many thanks for the page header tip and all your help to get me here.
