    Hi

I am trying to create space on both the left and right sides of the page, so that the reader finds it easy to read the text, and does not have to go back and forth from one side of the computer to another.

I went to ‘Customize – Layout – Container’ and fiddled with the content width till I got it right.

This made my ‘About’ page look good. But, the home page text is now within a container. And since I have provided a blue sky background, this background is appearing only for the text within the container. The rest of the space is an ugly blue, which does not look good.

    I have two queries:
    1. Can I customize the left & right width space for each and every page, or will it be the same for all pages?
    2. In the home page, how do I ensure that the blue sky background appears on the entire section rather than only for the container in which the text is?

    Hi there,

    1. The Layout Element allows you to change the Content Width and specify where the change is applied using Display Rules:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/

    2. For you Home page you can set the Page Builder Container to Full Width, this will allow Sections to extend the width of the screen whilst maintaining the inner content width:
