SPACE between the menu & the banner image on the home page

Hi.
I am using the WP bakery page builder, with a top row set to [stretch row and contents no padding] for an image at the top of the home page. However, there is a big gap between this banner image in the content area and the horizontal menu.
How do I get rid of that empty space so the banner image is adjacent to the main menu?
