hello tom,
I am new to this and I will appreciate if you could guide me on this.
My friend has a website built with elementor

my question here is, is it possible to build something like this homepage and post page using generatepress premium.
If so which site library i should go.
i would appericiate if you could mention some plugin too, to accomplish this.
my second question is, do you think it's beneficial to create a child theme, especially when you have option to put custom css on theme options.
If i want to create a child theme, which option you think is best, going to plugin to create one or manually, does it make any difference..like site speed wise or so.

Hi there,
I would probably begin with the Marketer Theme - this will give you the Navigation Header and Sidebar layout.
For your Home page - create a new Page - you can do the top hero section with a Cover Block. For the different post lists i would use the WP Show Posts Plugin:
Then on your Single Posts you can use a Header Element to create that title hero section with the colored background:
