Some question regarding starter sites

Hi,
1) I was using the Arctic starter site and saw an option in the customizer that read "navigation drop point".
What is it and what is its significance? Also, I don't find this in my other production sites, so does it affect anything?
2) When I started using GP, as far as I remember, there were no starter sites. So, I customized it my way.. Now when I am wanting to migrate to a starter site, I see two options in the layout that I don't find in starter sites like Arctic or Marketer.
Those options are:
1) Secondary navigation
2) Page headers
Are these deprecated features? Again, should I miss something if I switch? Which is better?
3) I was liking the Arctic theme over the very common (but magnificent) Marketer theme. But, I think the Arctic was designed/developed a long time back (I might be wrong).
Does Arctic has less SEO value in terms of coding or features as compared to Marketer (Like schema)?
Can I enable sidebars on it and will it integrate as nicely with GB pro as marketer starter site?
I hope you understand that I am talking about theme related features not fancy bells and whistles like having a first widget in the sidebar with different color.
Thanks so much,
-Swadhin
Hi there,
1. The Navigation Drop Point option is only available when your have a Site Header and the Primary Navigation > Location is set to Float Right ( or Left ). You can use it to stop the navigation from colliding with the logo when the browser width is reduced. By setting a value in its settings eg. 1000px, will force the navigation to drop below the site header on that screen size ore below.
2. Secondary Navigation - thats still an option that can be enabled in Appearance > GeneratePress.
Page Headers were deprecated for the Elements > Header Element module::
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/
See here for updating Page Headers to Header Elements:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/moving-hooks-page-headers-to-elements/
3. In regards to Coding, schema or the ability to enable sidebars or change other layout options - there is NO difference between Artic and Marketer.
Hi David,
Thanks a ton for helping me. :)
And I am so sorry for the countless typos in the question.. I realized it a couple of hours after writing when I read it again to check for your response.
I was on a different device and so I couldn't log in to correct them. Thanks for being patient with my non-native English. :)
Best regards,
-Swadhin
You're welcome - no problems with your non-native English :)
