Hi Team,

I'm Raveen from Techruth.com

After switching to the GeneratePress theme some of my post descriptions are showing wrong and almost 50% of organic traffic is decreased.

Kindly suggest me how to get my site normal.

Thank you!
Raveen Paswan

Hi Raveen,

When migrating, more often than not, you'll need to rebuild your permalinks. To do this, go to Settings > Permalinks, and then hit save.

As for the traffic, any change to a site has an effect to that. Did you make any major changes to your layout?

Hi,

The entire site changed after switching from Mythemeshop to Generatepress.

Why showing this text in my meta description: Quantcast. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789-_~. x.

GeneratePress doesn't control that. Do you have an SEO plugin? SEO plugins are more commonly the ones controlling this.

But everything was fine before switching to the GeneratePress theme.

Hi there,

as Fernando said, the Theme has no control over this, you may find your previous theme was doing something that GP does not.
But i ran rich snippet test on one of your URLs:

https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=KMrf_BTJ8bS4ImV1cIWiCg

You can see that Google did not find any rich results for that URL.
And yet if i check that URLs source i can see that you are running Yoast, and it has JSON schema included. I would suggest checking with Yoast support as to why its rich snippets are not working.

Okay,
Thank you

Let us know how you get on

Reading that GSC post, if you have followed what that user said and you're seeing some posts update correctly, then it may just be a case of waiting for Google to update those results.

Hi there,

Those screenshots don't seem to be working for me.

Can you double-check?

Hi there,

this site tests your sites code, and gathers the meta data to provide a preview of the Rich Snippet:

https://technicalseo.com/tools/google-serp-simulator/

For example i tested one of your broken URLs and it generated:

https://www.screencast.com/t/hKZSSI1nj

I tried several URLs and they ALL preview a correct rich snippet.

I would suggest you ask on the Google Search Community as to why Google is not returning those results:
