Weatherly
Hi! This has been happening off and on for the last few weeks. But only sometimes. If I duplicate a grid container or a button to use as a quick template (literally copy and paste the block element) it works fine. Then I edit the text or swap out a photo or something like that. Then I Preview the page (or post) in a new tab and it still looks good. Then I save my changes (Update) and click View Page. This is where the issue comes into play. The element(s) that I copied from still look good, but the new block that was the copy with the edits has no styling whatsoever. I am providing screenshots below.
I have cleared my browser cache and cleared the page cache to no avail. It appears the same in Chrome and Edge for me.
I just don’t understand what would cause two nearly identical buttons (one a copy of the other) to view correctly when I preview the page, but not when I publish the page… and since the rest of the buttons and everything are working I find it hard to imagine that it could be a plugin conflict.
I hope you can point me to a solution for this.
Thanks!

Hi Weatherly,
To clarify, are you “duplicating” or “copying and pasting”?
If you’re not duplicating, can you try that instead? Duplicating ensures new unique IDs are generated for the Blocks.
If you are, can you provide the link to the site in question? You may use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information

Oh! I didn’t realize there was a difference. I have been copying and pasting. So if I do that something of the original is retained and could cause problems?

Yes, it could cause issues. We find that duplicating first is the safest route because it ensures the creation of new unique IDs.
Sometimes, “copying and pasting” does not generate new unique IDs for the Blocks copied.
