Solid Background Color for Header

I'm running a basic child theme downloaded from the documentation. I'm trying to figure out how to set the background color of the header so that when my users set the background image to the content area, it doesn't display behind the header. See the image linked here. I'm also included a link to the site below.

Can you try altering the color in Appearance > Customize > Colors > Header > Background?

That got me part of the way there. I need to apply a white background to the right and left of the header. Here is another pic to illustrate.
Can you go to Appearance > Customize > Layout > Header, and check if the Header and inner Header widths are set to full? If not, can you set it to full?
That got it.
Header Width: Full
Inner Header Width: Contained
