Social Warfare - Restricting Post Categories

I'm using social warfare here, and looking to turn it OFF on a specific post category (currently have static and float ON for posts, and need to keep it that way for all but a specific category). They've told me this is possible but it requires support on theme customization level.
Is this an easy thing to do?

What kind of support is the plugin looking for?
Does the standard WP Twenty series themes have this support?
If so GP should too.
