social media icons in my footer

Hi,
I would like to add my social medias in the footer (not in the footer widgets).
I tried the plugins you were talking about in others support requests but this is not what I'm looking for.
I want to be able to decide what color and hover color my icons will be, they should be circular and on the left side of the footer (as there is a text on the left side).
How can I do that please ?

You could try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-social-icons/
Then you would need this plugin to turn it into a shortcode: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/widget-shortcode/
Then you can use the Copyright add-on to add the shortcode into the copyright area.

It works! :) Can I get rid of the Shortcode plugin once I put the shortcode in the copyrights area or should I keep the 2 plugins?
You'll need to keep the two plugins.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work any more? I added the shortcode to the footer copyright area and it just shows the widget shortcut and not the actual content.
Sorry, my bad. It does work, it just doesn't show up properly in the customizer.
Ah yes, the live preview for shortcodes is fixed in the next version :)

In Lightweight Social Icons? You would need to use custom CSS for now.
