Hi Tom,
I've a little problem... When I add a link into my navigation bar, nothing apears ...
Do you know why ?
Thanks a lot!
Have you set the "Theme Location" of the menu? Open your menu in "Appearance > Menus" and set the "Theme Location" to "Primary Menu".
Let me know :)
I agree with Tom. You have to set the theme location to display links in nav bar. If, you are going to add social media share buttons on top of the page, you also need to set widget bar mentioned in appearance.
You can also use the built in FontAwesome social icons in your navigation bar to show social icons :) http://generatepress.com/forums/topic/social-networks-buttons-on-nav-menu-bar/
Hi,
I've tried all the solutions ... I follow the tutorial http://generatepress.com/forums/topic/social-networks-buttons-on-nav-menu-bar/
And ... Nothing in my navigation bar ... I'm so noob :(
If you go to "Appearance > Customize > Set Navigation" - is your primary navigation set?
Yes, it is :(
Can you link me to your site?
Hi,
It's http://www.prograweb.be , Thanks for help!
I'm seeing items in your navigation? It does look like your theme location is set, so now you should be able to go to "Appearance > Menus" and add items to your menu, then save.
When i add a link in my primary menu, nothing appears in fact. I don't know why ... :/
When you save the menu, does the menu item disappear?
Maybe try increasing your memory limit?: http://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/increasing-memory-limit/
I think i've found the problem!
I've used "Menu social icons" and when i've desactived it ... My links appears! Miracle :D
Now, i search how to put a favicon in place of my name link :)
Thanks for all !
Could you tell me where I can find the exact class name of my social media link ?
The class names for the social media icons?
Go to Font Awesome's site, and click on the icon you wish to use - it will tell you the class name.
For example: http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icon/facebook/
Facebook would be:
