Smooth Scrolling with Sticky Nav in transition (mobile)

Hello, I've seen different posts on this topic, but I was not able to find the exact match with my problem. Apologies if this has been already discussed and explained.

My configuration is GP 3.0.4 and GP Premium 2.0.3 / Sticky Nav on / Smooth Scrolling on / One-Page style homepage.

Assuming that the home page just loaded on a mobile device, the sticky nav is not present yet. The homepage hero contains a button that links to an anchor point below the hero on the same page.
At the click of the button the page scrolls smoothly to the anchor point, but while scrolling the sticky nav appears and, by the time the scroll reaches the anchor, it positions itself on top of the anchored div.

Any smooth scroll, starting with the sticky nav already visible, is managed perfectly with the proper offset. The problem is only while the smooth scroll happens at the same time as a sticky nav transition from non-visible to visible (regardless what is the transition style).
