    Hi there

Main title H1 tags are counted in the text, even though the main title is disabled.

Hmm I’m not sure why Yoast would say that.

There is only one <h1> from on that page from what I can see.

When the default title is disabled on that page the entire HTML is removed so it should no create the duplicate <h1> issue.

How do you know the original title is what Yoast is pointing to?

    Sorry tested how?

If you use the HTML markup of the page, there is only one <h1> there.

    Maybe something is cached in?

Can you try disabling all plugins except GPP and GB to test?

Also activate the parent theme as well.

    Hi there,

There have been several reported issues of yoast incorrectly reporting the number of H1’s.
I found this reply from there support where they do indentify it a problem that they need to resolve:

Good news is – its a false negative and can be safely ignored as your site is only display a single H1 on the front end.
