[Resolved] Slider widget for homepage?

Hi, I’m really enjoying customizing my GP site (I’ve purchased the add-ons).

I want to run a slider on my static home page to feature my most recent posts in each category. Is there a widget available in the package that I’m just not seeing, or do you recommend a plugin for that (if it is possible)?

Hi Lisa,

GP doesn’t come with a slider – we feel that there’s enough slider plugins out there that are being actively developed. Have you taken a look at any of them?

It looks like the flexslider only works in a widgetized area. Are only the header, sidebar, and footers widgetized in GP?

Yes, but you can use a plugin like this to create shortcodes out of widgets, and then display them in your content: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-shortcode/
