Hi,
I have a strange issue with the slideout menu items. After I click on them there is a strange background color for a moment. I guess this comes from Elementor which I use partly for the site. I tried to figure out Elementor´s css for the menu items to overwrite them, with no success.
Thank you for your help in advance.

May 24, 2022 at 10:33 am #2231313YingStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
There’s a space at the end of password, that’s why it didn’t work, can you tell us there’s a space next time? Thanks!
I checked the slide out navigation, didn’t see any background color, can you specify what color it is?
May 24, 2022 at 11:47 am #2231368AttilaHi,
I´m very sorry about that, it wasn´t intentional.
If you check the menu on a cell phone, the background is visible.
May 24, 2022 at 12:17 pm #2231395YingStaffCustomer SupportThe password with space doesn’t work on my phone, so I changed the password.
I don’t see the background color on my phone either, any specific browser?
https://www.screencast.com/t/KIb6SmttWMay 24, 2022 at 1:15 pm #2231451AttilaIt’s Chrome on my Android phone.

May 24, 2022 at 2:24 pm #2231509YingStaffCustomer SupportI tested in Chrome on my iPhone, it works fine.
So maybe the combination is Android phone + Chrome?
If that’s the case, I don’t think we can do anything about it.
The style may be added by the browser.
May 24, 2022 at 2:52 pm #2231539AttilaYes I guess you’re right. However I had a similar background issue on the menu-toggle button. I could get rid of the background color based on this article:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/menu-toggle-mobile-is-with-a-background-color/It makes me suspicious to think that it is an Elementor issue as well because the background color on the slideout menu is the same as it was in the menu-toggle.
Thats why I thought if you could provide me the css of Elementor to overwrite for the slideout.May 24, 2022 at 3:22 pm #2231551YingStaffCustomer SupportNo, they are not the same case.
The slideout menu items don’t have any elementor background color added, and they don’t use the
button
tag.The blue background color does appear when I use inspector on Chrome, but that’s normal behavior, it appears on every site.
May 25, 2022 at 12:07 am #2231800AttilaYou are right, it has nothing to do with Elementor. Finally I found it. It is possible to change the background color with this selector (not recommended to set it transparent because of accessibility) ‘-webkit-tap-highlight-color’
Thank you anyway.
