    Hi,

I have a strange issue with the slideout menu items. After I click on them there is a strange background color for a moment. I guess this comes from Elementor which I use partly for the site. I tried to figure out Elementor´s css for the menu items to overwrite them, with no success.

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hi there,

There’s a space at the end of password, that’s why it didn’t work, can you tell us there’s a space next time? Thanks!

I checked the slide out navigation, didn’t see any background color, can you specify what color it is?

    Hi,

I´m very sorry about that, it wasn´t intentional.

If you check the menu on a cell phone, the background is visible.

The password with space doesn’t work on my phone, so I changed the password.

I don’t see the background color on my phone either, any specific browser?

I have just tried on Firefox with Android and it works fine, so it seems Chrome is the trouble maker.

I tested in Chrome on my iPhone, it works fine.

So maybe the combination is Android phone + Chrome?

If that’s the case, I don’t think we can do anything about it.

The style may be added by the browser.

Yes I guess you’re right. However I had a similar background issue on the menu-toggle button. I could get rid of the background color based on this article:
    https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/menu-toggle-mobile-is-with-a-background-color/

It makes me suspicious to think that it is an Elementor issue as well because the background color on the slideout menu is the same as it was in the menu-toggle.
Thats why I thought if you could provide me the css of Elementor to overwrite for the slideout.

No, they are not the same case.

The slideout menu items don’t have any elementor background color added, and they don’t use the buttontag.

The blue background color does appear when I use inspector on Chrome, but that’s normal behavior, it appears on every site.

You are right, it has nothing to do with Elementor. Finally I found it. It is possible to change the background color with this selector (not recommended to set it transparent because of accessibility) ‘-webkit-tap-highlight-color’

    Thank you anyway.
