Slideout menu animation type

Hi there,
Just wondering if it's possible to alter the slide out animation? Ideally I would like the off canvas area to shunt the canvas off to the right when it opens, instead of opening over it, if you see what I mean!

Currently this would be quite difficult I'm afraid. However, this option is coming soon!
