Slide-out menu button options

Hey GeneratePress people, I really like the feel of https://www.washingtonpost.com sections button. So my question is how can I get you guys to add a feature to the options of the slide-out menu button to be able to choose which side for it to be on, and maybe how the content stays static or dynamically moves to the side?

Not sure what you mean about the content staying static?
