Size Attribute on Sidebar not working

I have a website for a clothes shop and have setup a search on the sidebar to search by a particular size, 10, 12 etc
But it is displaying all products under each search and not just the ones that are in that particular size.
I remember seeing someone having a similar issue in this forum but I cannot find the answer anywhere.
Can you please help.

the Product Search Widget won't search by attribute values.
You would need to use a Product Filter Widget which can be set by Attribute.
