Site speed problem

Hello Tom,
I have read your article regarding ways to improve site speed and found it great.
It was exactly what I needed, but unfortunately, I don't know coding.
My site shows poor speed on mobile devices. Google developers suggest:
1/ to remove blocking JavaScript
2/ optimizing CSS
Pls, help me solve this issue. Thank you.
Vesna
Hi there,
The best thing you can do for your scores is install a plugin like this: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/
Have you done that yet?
Thank you, Tom. I have installed it.
I don't know what else I'm supposed to do...
I don't see big changes in my site speed.
Waiting for your further instructions,
Vesna
Couple issue here I think.
Check out the waterfall here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/medsuperdiet.com/41ZCPBCd
Your server response time is pretty bad, which is usually a hosting issue.
Then there's one file that took 13 seconds to load.
Do you have some sort of "sitespeed" plugin installed?
The only "sitespeed" plugin is Autoptimize that I installed today as you suggested.
There's something called sitespeed-js which is taking forever to load.
If you're not aware of any plugin like that, maybe try calling your hosting support and show them the results here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/medsuperdiet.com/41ZCPBCd
If they check the "Waterfall", they'll see the issue.
Thank you, Tom. I really appreciate your help and time.
Hoping to solve this speed issue.
Best regards,
Vesna
No problem! Once those two big issues in the waterfall are fixed, it should help a lot.
Let me know :)
OK. You're so kind. I'm so glad that I've chosen your Theme!!!
Best regards
Thank you! :)
Hi
I am having trouble with this site : https://brightset.co.uk/
Ran a speed test using
https://www.webpagetest.org/
It has failed every category.
I have installed autoptimize make no difference.
Can you kindly take a look.
Many thanks
Check the results here: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/dsbgVL/https://brightset.co.uk/
If you scroll down to the file requests, you'll see the speed issue is mostly coming from your hosting.
Aside from that, you have a couple large images (one being over 700kb).
