Site logo linking to the wrong URL

This is probably a very simple thing, but I can't remember if it happened before or how I solved it.

A new site I designed with GP went live. The site is installed in example.com/wp. I followed the official Wordpress instructions to have the site appear at example.com and it worked perfectly except for two things:

• The site logo still links to example.com/wp
• When I perform a search (using GP search in main menu option), the result page is in example.com/wp, and it finds no results.

I guess that the secong problem is perhaps unrelated to GP, but the first surely has something to do with GP. How can I solve it?
