Hi,

After having no issues installing Generatepresss site library themes on other sites over the past couple of months, I’ve recently come across an issue on two new sites where there seems to be some problem.

The current example is here: https://goalexploring.com/

I don’t receive any error messages, so I’m curious as to what the problem could be. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am experiencing the same thing as you Alex, I tried to import the “Explore” starter site onto a new blank website a couple of hours ago. No errors whatsoever.

It’s hopefully a temporariy connection issue.

Although there’s a previous thread from 31 March describing the same issue.

    Hi Alex,

that site has not imported correctly on your server, a lot of the HTML has been corrupted eg..

<h1 class="\\\"gb-headline" gb-headline-29c0d064="" gb-headline-text\\\"="">Wired is a series of monochrome block templates you can use to jumpstart your next website.

See those \\\ – they should not be there.

Were there any caches or optimizers enabled when you imported the site.

Dirk, if you can share a link to your site i can take a look if its the same issue.

You mad genius, you. I guess my host added in a few new plugins to their base wordpress install, and that was the difference between the last times. I disabled them, redid the GeneratePress, and now we are looking good.

🙂 Glad to be of help.
Out of interest what were the plugins, i assume an optimizer / cacche / CDN or something similar ?

My issue was also resolved by updating to the latest version of GP Premium, which I had overlooked. Oops!
