Hi, I bought the premium GP and entered the licence key without problems. But then after wanting to activate the site library, it did not do. Somehow I cannot activate it. What could be wrong?

Hi there,

Just to confirm, are you having trouble activating the Site Library module?

Can you activate the other modules without any issues?

Yes, some other modules could be activated. (But I could not deactivate one I activated by mistake). But when I tried to activate site library the ball kept turning forever, but no activation

Hi Liwia,

The site seems to be a part of a multisite. Something related to this setup is likely messing up w/ how your site does a few things like enabling the site library and communicating w/ our servers. (Breaking API calls)

Can you share any errors when you try to activate the site library?

Here are a few debugging tips:

Hi Elvin

I get no error messages, it's just hanging up during the activation process...

Can you try the suggested debugging tips? to spot the errors.

This particular case is quite tricky as the server of the site you've linked seems to be running 2 sites as visiting the different URLs that WordPress usually generates returns 404 errors and the usual home page URL returns a completely different site which looks like this - https://share.getcloudapp.com/llu66q7e

It seems this WordPress installation wasn't cleanly installed as some URLs are breaking. It's likely due to it being installed on top of an older site.

Consider backing up the old site and wiping the server clean and re-deploy WordPress to avoid these issues.

If you're unsure how to do this, you'll need to consult with the host of your site. :)

Ok, that helped. I had installed it as multisite by mistake. Now, the library is activated.

Thanks!!
Liwia

Thank you, Elvin

Nice catch. Glad you got it sorted. Let us know if you need further help. :D

Dear Team,

I would like to confirm I have the same issue. I deactivated my cache plugin from Wordpress and from my hosting as well, however I am unable to activate any of the menu options from GP Premium, one of them the site library. I contacted my hosting supported and confirmed the set up is correct with no issues. I don't know what else I can do to activate it.

Thanks for your assistance.

Daniel

Hi there,

it looks like the OP's issue was related to a multi-site installation. Are you using a mulit-site install?

If not can, your right click > inspect the page when viewing the Appearance > GeneratePress and let us know in a new Topic if there are any red console errors.

Hello! Sorry for my english (I use google translate).
I have the same problem as Daniel. I can't activate any module.

My website is installed within a hosting package, where I have 4 websites

can you share a Screenshot of the Appearance > GeneratePress page ?

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Click Save Changes.
