Site Library- How does it work?

Hi there

I want to use one of the templates from the site library on my website.

I already have a website filled with more than 100 articles.

And I am already using the basic Generatepress free version from the beginning.

So if I switched to one of the templates from the site library say “Marketer” or “Stream” then will it affect my site.

I am especially concerned about SEO like will it change the URL structure of my blog posts.

Or will it affect my site SEO wise in any other aspects?

Some site templates can potentially affect SEO because some of them add Layout elements that disables the Site or Page title (h1 tag missing flag).

But as for changing the existing contents: the site library adds in dummy contents (posts, images and menus) but it doesn't delete whatever was already added to the site.

Important reminder: When in doubt, make sure to do a back up.
