I installed a start site from the Site Library. But nothing seems to have changed on the front end. See screenshots of backend and frontend.

Your screenshot is only showing the first step of the importing process which is backing up the options.
Have you finished the rest of the steps?

How to I change the image next to the address. It does not seem to be independent of the text. See screenshot. Thank you.
Hi there,
the image is an Icon that is part of the Headline Block. Select the Headline Block and in the Settings > Icon you will see a field that contains the <svg> code for that image. You will need to add your own code there.
