Site identity logo shrink to nav height

Hi,
I'm trying to give my website a logo in the site identity column, I have a fairly large image of my logo, however I was expecting the logo to shrink down to the height of the navigation bar.
You can see a screenshot of it below
So at the moment, the logo is stretching the navigation bar which I do not want. Also, I'd like the navigation items to align center according to the logo.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
Hi Ben, add the logo to the Primary navigation instead of the site identity.
