I have read through this forum and found out how to create the hook, turn off site header, add the css for a 3 column layout of the Site header location. That part works fine. Then what? The 3 new columns are ready for content. Is there some shortcode to put in these fields to include the site logo functionality (customizer) and two widget fields? I can add a widget area to the functions file in my child theme, but it’s unclear how to add it to the 3 columns described in the documentation. The docs display “YOUR SITE NAME HEADER CENTER CONTENT HEADER RIGHT CONTENT.
I looked at the code in the theme header file and was unable to determine where they might be since the widget code is not in that file. I’m working in development on localhost so there’s no link to share.
