    Hi Tom,

My site at https://ChristianGays.com is down on the front end with GeneratePress theme.

I deactivated all plugins with no change but when I changed themes to Twenty-Sixteen the site came back.

Any idea what I need to do to get my site working again with GP theme?

    Hi Mary,

The site is working for me? Am I missing something?

It has just come back. It was down for over half an hour, where I could access the back-end, but the front-end gave a blank white page on main site and all sub-domains.

Now, all of a sudden it has come back. Not sure why, but very happy.

    Sorry to have bothered you.

If it went down without you changing anything, it’s most likely your server.

Themes/plugins need to have their code altered to all of a sudden fail.

Question: I found the problem. It was in the functions.php of my child theme. I had some code in there to protect my BuddyPress pages. I removed it a few days ago when it broke the site. Now I see that it has been put back.

This has happened to me on a few occasions where something I have done gets reverted without me doing it.

Do you know how this might be possible? It’s like someone is uploading an old backup, but I’m the only one who works on the site.

Hard to say, could be a server caching thing?

    Interesting. Thank you!
