Single Post Template Problem

I am playing around with GPP and GB pro and got to the point where I'd like to start building out the single post template. However, the container I create, and add a bg color to in order to test is not going full width, even with full width being set up. The process I am taking is as follows.
Go into elements
New Element
Select Block Element
Change element type to content template
I then start building from there by adding a container, add some padding, add a bg color, add a header with dynamic title. I then test the page and see the container is not full width.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to set the single post page's content cotnainer to full width.
You can use a layout element for this:
