Hi,

I am playing around with some of the sites from the site library in order to understand how things were constructed. I have installed a copy of Wordsmith and have an issue with the single blog post pages. By default these pages have no sidebar but the Blog Archive page does have a sidebar. My aim was to have a sidebar on the single posts too so I used the customizer via Layout>Sidebars>Single Post Sidebar Layout and changed the setting to Content/Sidebar.

This did add a sidebar but for some reason both the main section and sidebar on single posts are narrower than the same sections as seen on the archives pages. Is there another setting I need to tweak

Hi there,

Wordsmith uses a Layout Element:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/

You will find it in Dashboard > Appearance > Elements.

The element titled: Blog Posts Width is the one that defines the Content width for the single post.
You can simply delete this element if you want it to conform to the customizer settings.

Thanks - I have found the element that you refer to and can see how it works now.

Great stuff.

Glad to hear that
