Generate Press updated automatically 31st of Jan from version v3.1.1 to v3.1.2
Since that date our site broke down 3 times.

We're on the latest version of the GP Premium plug-in (2.1.1)
I checked other plug-ins, don't believe the issue with these plug-ins.

I am having the following questions about this trying to resolve the issue:
- Are there any other people experiencing the same?
- What is the recommended WordPress version (currently we're running 5.9) and the recommended PHP version (was 5.1 in our case, but I have now set it to 8.1 to see if that makes a difference) to use with WordPress 5.9 and the Generate Press theme
- Is it possible to roll-back to 3.1.1 to see if that resolves the issue?

Hi there,

no other reported issues. 503 is a server side error - have you spoken with your host to get more info on the error ?

Hi thanks for getting back on this.
Yeah, I got back it was a process that was running, but they could not identify the process yet.
Is there anything specific I can ask them regarding information they can gather?
What abot my other questions?
– What is the recommended WordPress version (currently we’re running 5.9)
- What is the recommended PHP version (was 5.6 in our case, but I have today upgraded it to 8.1, hope this fixes it)
– Is it possible to roll-back to 3.1.1 to see if that resolves the issue?

Is there anything specific I can ask them regarding information they can gather?

Unfortunately thats out of our scope and my skillset. If they identified a failed process they should be able to pinpoint the cause.

Other questions:
WP version - fine with 5.9
PGP Version - i still run a lot of 7.4 versions as there are still a tonne of Plugins that have not made the move to 8.0. And for WP i believe they label core to be comaptible with 8.0.8. In short i wouldn't go as far as 8.1.
Roll Back the theme - simplest option here would be to load a backup of the site.
