    Hi,
I was still using the old header model for my slider on the homepage and about page of http://www.amuddyroad.com. The slider short code was in the content field and parallax was on. Now the parallax is gone, so I moved on to elements but also here I can’t find the parallax effect for my slider.
Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi,

I see you’re using NextEnd Smartslider 3 Pro.

As this is a 3rd party plugin outside of GeneratePress, this is out of our scope. Its best to ask the plugin’s developer/support forum for any solution regarding this issue.

Alternatively, you can check their documentation if they have a know-how on how to solve issues like this:

Mhh, but I did use the parallax function from the old page header tool not the one from smart slider.

    Hi there,

the Parallax effect in the old Page Header and in the new Header Element only applied to Background images that were set in the elements settings. This should never have worked on a Slider element. So i am not sure what changed, but as Elvin said the parallax option would have to be a part of the Slider.

Okay, sorry, maybe I’m mistaken. I was quite sure in the old header model you could choose parallax under content like you see here in the 2nd video 2:43

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/moving-hooks-page-headers-to-elements/

I will try to fix it in smart slider.

Yeah that option exists in the Header Element but only when a Background Image is enabled. It would never apply to a slider. Ask the Slider plugin support to see what they can do 🙂
