Simple question to customize category page

Hello,
I'm having trouble customizing a category page. What I do is create a hook element, content template and then in position I choose the category to customize
I am doing something wrong? I am working with toolset and the simplest thing for me would be to insert a "view" element of them listing all the custom inputs. What I mean is that it would not be a problem for me to simply replace the category page

In case anyone else has the same question. There are several ways to achieve this specifically. In my particular case, I finally decided to do it with toolset, the plugin offers the alternative of creating a wordpress "archive", which should be easier for search engines to understand
