Sidebar widgets not showing on blog pages

Not sure why, but the side bar widgets don't show on my blog pages...but do show on my regular pages.
I have content/sidebar selected in the layout for both pages and posts

Make sure the blog sidebar layout is set in the customizer as WordPress ignores all metabox values on index pages:

well, I think I have done that. Checked content/sidebar in both. Actually looking closer, it is only this page that is wrong...all the sidebar elements are at the bottom.
