But can you tell me how I can show only 4 of the latest posts, from 3 different custom post types, on the my homepage for example. So not on an archive page? Using generateblocks.

Hi there,
the GPP 2.0 theme builder only works with Theme templates, it simply replaces the content template - it doesn't generate the grid or the query for displaying posts that is still left to WP and the GP Theme templates.
To do what you require still relies on using WP Show Posts.
Ok thanks David, so can I still design my own layouts and feed them in with WP show posts?
Nope - it relies on post templates, which WPSP doesn't use.
We'll be updating WPSP to be block based in the future to make that kinda thing possible.
