Shortcode Issue after Switching from Valenti to GP

hi, we converted an e-learning site to GP recently from an Envato theme called Valenti.
Now, all the old shortcodes for dividers, and alerts and the like appear like this:
"You will learn;
– Techniques for fleshing out vivid characters.
– How to avoid pitfalls of stock, unimaginative characters.
– The one key facet audiences remember in characters – attitude.
[divider]A) QUESTIONS TO HELP WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT[/divider]"
or an alert looks like this now:
[alert type=green ]
Exercise 3 – Finding Stereotypes
Name five additional stereotypes or stock characters that you’re tired of seeing.
Now add something unique or twist them to create a fresh character.
Try giving them an unexpected trait, or try combining two unlikely pairings of stock character.
[/alert]
What is the easiest way to get these old shortcodes (of which there are HUNDREDS, site wide, far too many to manually edit) rendering correctly again?

Hi there,
i am not sure there is an easy way to fix that.
If you still have the Theme files, you may be able to search for and extract the functions that create the shortcodes, and then search for any stylesheets they rely on. If you can find them, you can add them to a child theme.
You might want to consider finding a developer for that task.

I found this on the Valenti comments section:
"with Valenti the shortcodes are in the cubell themes plugin, so if you switch themes, it might not look/work as normal, but you will at least still have access to the data to easily swap to your new shortcode/theme and you won’t get the shortcode code on your live site, which looks bad/broken!Cubell"
I have re-activated this plugin and it seems to have simply removed the dividers and alerts, which is better than it looked before but perhaps not a long-term answer.
Well i wonder why they didn't allow the shortcodes to remain enabled via that plugin.
Very strange. If you need to keep the original styles then it sounds like you would need to employ a developer to rebuild them.....
