Now the question
How to make a brief description of the posts in the category http://bostonessays.com/blog/? I need that description was no more than 500-700 characters, And then it was “Read more”. Thank you

Are you wanting to add a description below the category name? If so, you can do that in “Posts > Categories”, then open your specific category and you’ll see a description field 🙂

The category description will show whatever you put into the description field. So if you input the entire article, that’s what it will show.

As for adding links to it, you would need to use a plugin like this: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/allow-html-in-category-descriptions/

I found plugin that helped me “Advanced Excerpt”
Without plugin, i changed the_content() to the_excerpt() in content.php
