Setting Menu Item Height does not work

I change Layout > Primary Navigation > Menu Item Height from the default 60 to 40px. I see the height of the menu item change in the preview. I click publish & publish button grays out. All looks good. However, when I refresh the Customizer, the Menu Item Height looks 60px in the preview even though the setting says 40px. If I view the site in a browser, its 60px. Thank you.
Please disregard, my issue was due to the way my child theme was importing the GP css stylesheet
