Setting breadcrumb element inline with site content

I'm having trouble setting my breadcrumbs to be inline with / appear directly above my site content (hopefully I'm using the right terminology).
It's starting from the very left side of the screen, but I need it to start from the top left corner of the white box.
I'm using a hook element to insert the shortcode and named the class "yoast-breadcrumbs"

I'm currently seeing a different layout from you screenshot. Can you re-share a screenshot of your current layout and let us know where exactly you want the Breadcrumbs to appear?
I've reset both levels of cache, you should see it now.
I'd like for the breadcrumbs to start directly above the white content area (where the arrow is pointing to).
What hook are you using? Can you try generate_before_content?
Ah, I was using the wrong hook generate_after_header
