Setting a Global Font

Hello,
Just to make sure - If I want to change the global font of the site I need to pick it first through the Font Manager option and then from Typography Manager chose "body" and select the font I added in the Font Manager. Will there be places where the font won't be applied and need to look out for?

yes that is correct.
Will there be places where the font won’t be applied and need to look out for?
Only if there are any other font settings that set a different font either in the Theme ( Customizer ) or loaded by a plugin.
