set up category page

I need very basic instructions on how to set up a category page. I want it to be 4 columns wide. Mine are showing 1 small photo and a bunch of writing before another small photo. I also don't know how to get to it as they don't show up under pages.
Hi there,
The category archives are automatically generated by WordPress and they inherit the settings from the Blog panel in the customizer:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/
If that doesn't help, can you link us to the page in question using the private info field?

This is not helpful at all. You give me links like I'm a designer and know what you are thinking. I have GP Pro. I don't know if I have all the other stuff it mentions and you don't tell me where to check. I don't know what "private information" you want.
The link I gave you is simply the documentation where the features are explained.
Can you link me to your current category page to start?
You can use the private info field mentioned above to provide the URL if you want to keep it private.
Let me know :)
I'm sending you the link.
Ok try the following steps:
1. Make sure the Blog module is activated:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/#activate-your-modules
2. Go to Customizer > Layout > Blog:

3. Scroll to the bottom and check Display posts in columns and select Columns 4:

Let me know if this works.
THAT IS PERFECT! Thank you SO MUCH for the step-by-step. I would have never found it on my own.
No problem :)
