Hello,

I am a GP Premium and GP Blocks pro user. I very much like both products. But am also a newbie.

My question is this: I am using the Service Theme at https://naturefolk.net. I've renamed the blog roll "The flyer." What do I need to do to take the title of a blog post "out of the header bar" and have it as a stand alone below the header. I'd like to keep the header "The Nature Folk Flyer" for both the general blog reel and individual posts.

Many Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Bob

Hi there,

My question is this: I am using the Service Theme at https://naturefolk.net. I’ve renamed the blog roll “The flyer.” What do I need to do to take the title of a blog post “out of the header bar” and have it as a stand alone below the header. I’d like to keep the header “The Nature Folk Flyer” for both the general blog reel and individual posts.

To clarify: You want the text The Nature Folk Flyer to be the static displayed text for both the blog page and the single posts pages?

If so, do the following:

Go to Appearance > Elements. You should see a list of elements added to your site.

Within the list, you will find one named "Blog Posts Headers". This element is the one you have to edit for the blog post page.

Click edit on it and you should see something like this: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuPKKN0

Simply replace {{post_title}} with The Nature Folk Flyer text. You can erase the {{post_date}} // {{post_author}} as well if you want the date and author removed.

Thank you Elvin.

Your recommended steps successfully got my title, date and author off the header and down on the post. However, when I click into the post, the "featured image" is still not showing up, i.e. it's just blank above the title. (The featured image does show up on the main blog reel. It's just when I click to an individual post it doesn't show up). I went into the customizer and I have it checked off to show the "featured image" above the title.

Do you have any recommendations or ideas?

Thank you,

Bob

On the same element, Blog Posts Headers, there's a checkbox labeled "Disable Featured Image".

This is checked by default on Service theme template. Uncheck it to display the featured image.

Thank you Elvin! That did it. Thank you so much and for your speedy help, Bob

Glad you got it sorted. No problem. :)
