[Support request] Sections moved to Post Editing Sidebar

Hi

I was working on my site today when suddenly the sections disappeared in the editor.

Finally I noticed that they are still there but instead of being in the main editing area, they moved to the sidebar under the “Use Sections” checkbox.

I had installed a new plugin and updated 3 plugins, so I deactivated those, but nothing changed. I cleared my browser cache and also tried a different browser, but no change.

Any idea what could be going on?

Hi Michael,

Not quite sure what you are seeing before but what you are seeing now is actually the default in new installs:

Please also keep in mind that we are considering deprecating the Sections module as the combination of the Gutenberg editor + GenerateBlocks offer far better options now.

If you are about to build a new page then I would absolutely recommend going with Gutenberg editor + GenerateBlocks
