Hi,

Do sections still exist in the updated gp premium? If not, what has replaced them? Also, is there a way of individually styling the individual list items on the horizontal navigation?

Kind Regards,

Brian Thompson

Hi there,

Sections do still exist in GP Premium, and will remain forever for backwards compatibility.
As the new Block Editor replaces their need we recommend using our GenerateBlocks plugin instead of Sections - they're much more advanced:

Yes, you can add a CSS class to a Menu Item and use that to apply individual styles.

Heres an example of making a menu item look like a button:

The same premise applies for any styling.

Hi David,

Thanks for that. I'm just wondering though how can I achieve the effect of a heading with a background image parallax effect like I was able to do within sections?

Kind Regards,

Brian Thompson

Hi Leo,

I thought that headers could only be used at the top, I was hoping to have a headline with a backing image. If it had the parallax effect, great but if not, I'm not worried.

Unfortunately GB doesn't offer that functionality.

Hi Leo,

I found a block called "cover". I think it is part of the default blocks in the gutenberg editor. It allows an headline with a background image but when I tried it out, it didn't look great so I am leaving it be! Thanks for your time.

Kind Regards,

Brian Thompson

No problem :)
