Secondary Navigation for Menus

I'm using the primary navigation as my header. I would like to use the secondary navigation for my menus/pages. When I attempted this, the menus/pages still remained in the primary navigation even after I've deselected them in the menu section of the dashboard.

Did you create a new menu and assigned it to the secondary navigation?

I'm sorry for the confusion.
I initially tried to do what you recommended, but it didn't work.
Is there a way I can show you a before and after photo of what I want to achieve?

I would like to remove the menus from the primary navigation and instead use the secondary navigation for the menus.
